1947 Ford Pumper Truck Restoration Project

Restoration Completed

Vic Juba and Don Whiting review the finished fire truck

This pumper truck is a historic piece of the history of the Lloydminster Volunteer Fire Department. It was in service as a pumper truck for many years, starting in 1946. During its service it was used as a support truck for the fire department and went to a number of large fires. It was donated to the museum in 1984 without any historical record. Through the work of volunteers and staff member, the unique history of the truck is beginning to take shape. Though we have learned since the project started that similar trucks exist in Western Canada, ours is unique in its service record for the City of Lloydminster.
